Two Leggins Outfitters Gear Checklist:
Your favorite rifle, bow, or fly rod & reel that you are
comfortable shooting or casting. Along with extra ammo, and arrows.
Quality leather/gore-tex hunting boots with tread, and good ankle
support.
Wool socks for colder weather.
Bring hunting clothes to cover warm and cold temperatures as the
weather can change day to day. Also, a quiet wind stopping layer will be well
worth packing.
Rain wear
Sharp knife.
Quality binoculars (I like 10 x for those long range spots and
detail).
Spotting scope (if you have one, and the room to bring it. your
guide will have one).
Range finder. (Especially for the Archer).
Camera & film for those trophy pictures and personal memories.
Day pack/fanny pack.
400 square inches of hunter orange. For both archery and rifle
hunters during the general rifle season. Late Oct. thru Nov. (equivalent to a
vest).
Flashlight & extra batteries.
All hunters need to have with them at all times picture ID,
hunting license.
Bow hunters will need Montana bow stamp. (Bow hunter safety corse
or any previous bow license is required to obtain bow stamp).
Rifle hunters born after January 1 st 1985 must have a hunter
safety card to obtain a hunting license.
Varmint rifle or shotgun (optional) for those who tag out early,
for game birds, varmints and coyotes. (upland game bird license is included in
your outfitter sponsored license).
Airline certified bow or gun case if flying. (Make sure you have
more than one key).
Personal items shave /shower kit, etc. etc. etc.
Alcohol is permitted in moderation after the days hunting and must
be bought on your own because we are
within the boundries of the Crow Nation tribal lands and it is a dry
reservation..
